Cheerleading practice...

Our little girl is on the move! She is beginning to move around a lot and lately, it feels like she is attempting to cheer...possibly even doing a stunt or two. I don't mind though, because with every kick and jab is the reassurance that she is ok! Shayne finally got to feel her for the first time the other day. I think she like's to tease her daddy because she would start moving and then stop when he would try to feel her. He finally caught her the other day and now believes that she does in fact move!

I went to the doctor yesterday and everything still looks good. I had to have a RhoGAM shot which wasn't too pleasant. I have a negative blood type and although we don't know what Shayne's is, the chances of it being negative also are very slim. This means that my immune system, which fights off "invaders" to keep me healthy, will recognize the baby's Rh-positive red blood cells as foreign to my Rh-negative blood and will begin producing antibodies intended to destroy the baby's blood cells. Apparently it's not an issue now, but can be for future pregnancies. It all sounds scary, but I've been assured that this shot prevents the problem. I don't go back for another 4 weeks, but before then I will have a 3D ultrasound which we're very excited about!
